Product Features:
Tru-Vino Cooling Technology
Clear digital displays with user-friendly push-button controls make setting and monitoring the temperature of Tru-Vino coolers quick and easy. Once the ideal temperature is set, exclusive temperature control technology adjusts cooling power dynamically. The result is precise temperature maintenance with near zero fluctuations, perfect for long-term wine storage.
Fan-Forced Cooling
An internal fan circulates air in the unit for additional cooling, helping to prevent large differences in temperature between the upper and lower shelves and reducing initial cool down time by 50%. The air circulation creates a frost-free environment so you will not have to worry about defrosting the cabinet
Designed to Fit Right In
This wine fridge has a design that allows it to fit into your home, no matter where you want to place it. The sides and top are made of smooth, finished metal that looks great from any angle. If you want to incorporate it into your cabinetry instead, the unit ventilates out of the front so that no special accommodations are required to make your ideal living space.
Innovative FlexCount Shelf Design
Allavino’s exclusive FlexCount wine racking technology incorporates revolutionary metal shelves that are strong enough to hold bottles without sagging, yet thin enough to maximize the available storage space. Wood slats refine each shelf and gently cradle each bottle to prevent harmful vibrations from affecting your wine. Each shelf glides out smoothly on ball bearing tracks, allowing easy access to your collection without disrupting the delicate wine maturation process.

I purchased this unit because I needed more capacity than the KitchenAid unit built into my home, and I was specifically looking for something that could handle larger Cabernet and meritage bottles (primarily Californian) that would scrape the shelf above in most units.
Shipping was as described with strong communication from BeverageFactory and trucking company. The unit was packed VERY well, and would require a significant intrusion into the packing to damage the unit. I opened the unit and it was in new condition, with no damage.
As others have commented, there is a unique smell in the interior of the unit - smells like adhesive to me and likely part of what it takes to put it together. I left the unit open for 24 hours, and placed Baking Soda inside after placing the unit in it's permanent location and powering it up. This seemed to mitigate the smell,; however, there is still a faint presence, but not offensive and continues to dissipate.
The unit works pretty much as described. I do still have one particular Cabernet bottle (Celani Family Vineyard) where the shoulders of the bottle will graze the shelf above. Simple solution is to move those to one of the 3 shelves that have more room above them. Not a big deal to me, but slightly different than advertised. I am not a Pinot drinker, but would assume those bottles would need to go on the same three shelves, as that is where my Prosecco and Champagne bottles are, but this is as described by the manufacturer.
I love the shelf depth - definitely works as described and allows back stacking behind the front row of bottles. Standard Bordeaux shaped bottles fit 11 to a shelf, even some of my larger Cab bottles (Vineyard House and Ledson) will nestle in at 11 per shelf. NO other unit I looked at had that ability. All of that said, I haven't packed it all in there yet, but I won't be far short of the 128 bottle max capacity.
Temp Hold: I ran a remote sensor data logging thermometer for the first couple days. Looking to run 55 degrees, and had to set at 52 in order to get the compressor cycle to average 55 (would solidly fluctuate from 54 to 56 as the compressor cycled). A couple degrees difference between set/stated temp is actually pretty solid on a unit of this size/type.
Overall, very pleased!
After lengthy research on the many wine refrigerators on the market, I decided on the Allavino FlexCount II VSWR128-1SR20 Single Zone. It seemed to have a medium capacity, stylish in appearance and could be free standing or built-in. One feature I was concerned about was the strength and durability of the shelves. This machine has 10 shelves and they are very sturdy, glide extremely well and are faced with a stainless steel which match the front door which makes it look very nice. The machine was delivered within the time frame stated (about 5 days), it was packaged with a lot of protecting Styrofoam and arrived in pristine condition. My current wine collection is probably 30-50 bottles, but this machine could handle at least double that, which is what I was looking for. I decided on the single zone, as I have some whites, but mostly reds and I figured I could chill the whites further in a normal refrigerator prior to serving if necessary. The machine's compressor is not loud at all and doesn't run much to keep the machine at the desired temp. The machine does have an internal fan that cycles on/off about every 60 seconds or so (60 on 60 off) which is quiet. This being the first wine refrigerator that I have owned, I contacted Beverage Factory to make sure the fan was operating as it should and they assured me that the fan is for continual circulation of air in the machine and it is operating as it is designed to. I love the look of the machine, the sturdiness of the shelves and capacity as well. I am extremely happy with the purchase and with the customer service from Beverage Factory (as I was emailing them prior to purchase about various questions I had and they responded immediately).
The best thing is the drawers are strong and pull out all the way so you can see the bottles in the back. We’ve only had it for a week or so but it seems to be keeping the correct temperature. When it cycles on it is a little loud in terms of the hum, but I can’t say if it’s louder than other compressed fridges. Like that it can be freestanding or built in.
After reading many reviews on wine refrigerators I decided to spend a little more for this one. I glad I did.
The communication from the time of purchase through to delivery was excellent. They let me know when it shipped, gave me a delivery window, and called the day before to confirm delivery. The driver called about 45 minuted before delivery to let me know he was on his way.
When the driver placed the unit in my garage I noticed a small ding in the cardboard packaging so I opened the box to make sure it did not go through to the refrigerator. The unit was so incredibly packed that there was no way it could have been damaged. There were 2 layers of 1/2\" corrugated cardboard surrounding the unit as well as a standard cardboard box. All was strapped securely to a small pallet.
The refrigerator accommodates all sizes of bottles with the varying drawer sizes. I don\'t expect to get 128 bottles in because of the odd sized bottles but it will be close.
The unit is relatively quiet. Just some fan noise when the compressor kicks on. We have it in the kitchen and the noise is not bothersome at all.
Pics showed large format bottles, but you have to remove racks, so if you store Pinot's and chard bottles, it's really about a 100 bottle storage. Has had an interior new smell that is off putting for a few weeks. Hope it goes away.
